Every day the museum’s Events Department is learning more about the event industry to better serve our customers! This year we attended the Special Event Conference in Orlando, FL. The conference consisted of a variety of educational classes and exhibits. We were ecstatic to have the opportunity to attend such an amazing conference so our staff could put into action what we learned to make your events better than ever! NIM brides always ask what’s trending in the décor scene so it is imperative that we stay on top of it for our clients! A lot of the classes we attended discussed what European trends are happening and what’s hot this year. We were so excited when the color of the year came up! Last wedding season we saw a TON of the beautiful blush tone, and we are happy to say that it is going to make another appearance this year alongside this dusty blue shade! Put the two together and it’s a match made in heaven.
On the final night at the conference we attended their signature wedding event. From the beautiful bright blue glass chargers to the antique gold silverware, we wanted to take it all back to Columbus, Georgia! The unique centerpiece arrangement of white roses was the perfect touch of simple elegance. All of the breathtaking décor got our inspiration wheels turning!
Have you noticed that weddings, engagement parties, and showers are more FUN! Why? Because it’s all about the guest experience. Events no longer about a formal sit-down dinner but about interaction like photo booths with fun props and even Jumbo Jenga. Don’t focus some much on a theme, but what different activities you can offer to your guests. This is taking over the events industry by storm and we personally love it!
