The National Infantry Museum is a world-class museum honoring the history of the American Infantryman since 1775. In addition to its award-winning displays and exhibits, the museum features family-friendly attractions such as a giant screen laser projection theater and combat adventure simulators that give visitors a taste of what it’s like to be a soldier. The National Infantry Museum Foundation, which operates the museum, has openings for enthusiastic and reliable employees to host and operate the simulator attractions.

Position: Attractions Host/Operator for DownRange Simulators

Position Type: Part-time, Flexible, On-Call

Pay Rate: $8.00/ hour Benefits: N/A

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide prompt, courteous and exceptional customer service to all guests
• Complete all transactions properly and accurately on a POS system
• Handle cash and credit card payments for ticket purchases
• Be able to provide accurate information about the attractions and the museum
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the attractions area
• Ensure that all ticket prices and promotional materials are accurate and in good condition
• Greet and brief guests on operation instructions for use of the attractions
• Ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests
• Sell simulation experiences with enthusiasm
• Ensure safety of all guests inside the attractions area; notify management of concerns or problems if any arise
• Perform daily routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment

Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Knowledge of proper money handling procedures
• A strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend, and squat
• Reliability
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Fluent in English

Preferred:

• Fluent in Spanish
• Experience working in an attractions environment
• Computer troubleshooting experience • Military experience
