Housekeeping Worker, National Infantry Museum Foundation
The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center is a world-class museum that chronicles the history of the American Infantry from its formation in 1775 to the present. It includes eight galleries, a Giant Screen Theatre, authentic World War II Company Street, outdoor monuments and memorials, a full-service restaurant, combat simulators and a gift store. It is operated by the National Infantry Museum Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Army.
The National Infantry Museum Foundation has an opening for a Housekeeping Worker.
Housekeeping workers agree to be flexible in their assignments, shifts, and days worked as the needs of the museum dictates. This is a 2nd shift permanent position, 2pm to 10:30pm, Wednesday through Sunday. (No exceptions).
Housekeeping workers will be required to work certain federal holidays, for which they will receive compensatory (alternate) paid days off.
Job description and responsibilities: All Housekeeping employees agree to work in any location of the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, including but not limited to: Museum building galleries, Administrative Offices, WWII Street buildings and stadium, and to perform any or all duties required to keep the Museum clean and presentable to the public.
There are no particularly hard, or heavy duties in this position with the possible exception of emptying garbage cans. Garbage bags may approach 20 lbs. when completely filled. The position routinely does mopping, vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning and bathroom cleaning such as brushing toilets, wiping counters, mirrors, filling soap and paper dispensers, and cleaning sinks, and other related duties as assigned.

* Ability to stand, walk, crawl, sit, or climb for extended periods of time.
