The National Infantry Foundation has joined non-profit organizations across the statefor Georgia Gives Day. The Georgia Center for Non-Profits has designated December 6 as a day to support the state’s non-profit organizations with online donations.
In Columbus, The Community Foundation has sweetened the pot by offering a $20,000 matching grant. The money will be divided among the eight local non-profits ending the day with the most unique donors.
“What a great way to engage our community and shine a spotlight on the impressive things our non-profits are doing,” said National Infantry Foundation President Ben Williams. “Naturally we hope the museum comes out on top in this friendly competition, but in the end, we’ll all be winners.”
Supporters are being asked to make their donations at www.gagivesday.org. They can search National Infantry Foundation, or scroll through the list of participating organizations in Muscogee County or by zip code. Or click here to visit our Georgia Gives Day page. Donations of any amount are accepted. Donors will receive acknowledgement of their tax-deductible gift.
Visitors to the museum Thursday will have the opportunity to make their online donations in the museum’s lobby. As a thank you, they’ll receive a coupon for a free small bag of popcorn at the IMAX Theatre.
