Update 7 OCT 2013: We’re pleased to report that furloughed government civil service employees at the National Infantry Museum have been called back to work. All museum galleries will reopen at 9am Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, operated by the National Infantry Foundation, is open with the exception of the four era galleries that are controlled by government civil service employees who have been furloughed. Other galleries including the Ranger and OCS Halls of Fame, Family Gallery, Hall of Valor, Last 100 Yards Ramp and Fort Benning Gallery are open as is World War II Company Street, Memorial Walk of Honor (containing many monuments and memorials), the IMAX Theater, Combat Simulators, Soldier Store and Fife & Drum Restaurant.

We appreciate your support and will continue in our mission to provide education to Soldiers and the general public on all facets of the history of the United States Infantry, the origin and development of Fort Benning and an overview of the U.S. Army.
