Country music singer/songwriter Tim Maggart needs one more spectacular shot to complete his new music video, and he’s inviting the entire community to be a part of it.
Maggart has already shot most of the video for “A Link” at the National Infantry Museum. The song tells the story of a family’s successive generations of military service. Maggart himself is a U.S. Army veteran whose family members have been part of every conflict since the Civil War.
To complete the music video, Maggart would like to line both sides of the sidewalk leading up to the National Infantry Museum with people of all ages holding photos of loved ones who’ve served in the military. Those who are interested in participating should be at the museum with a 5×7 or 8×10 framed photo at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18.
“It’s a great way for families to spend some time together and to share a memory of family members who have served,” the award-winning musician said. “And it will give children and widows and parents of those who are no longer with them a unique way to honor their loved one.”
The video is being produced by Pope Johnson Video Productions. Its debut will be July 4, 2013, in the National Infantry Museum’s IMAX® Theatre.
Maggart’s inspirational and patriotic music has caught the attention of audiences around the country. In 2011, his song “Freedom Train” was named in the Top 10 of Powersource Magazine’s Inspirational Country Music Chart, his album Things I Never Said was voted Country Album of the Year by the North American Country Music Association, and hissong “House of Heroes” has been used as the official anthem of the non-profit House of Heroes organization, which provides home improvement services to military and public safety veterans.
