Annual Community Events
The National Infantry Museum Foundation hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are open to the community.
National Vietnam War Veterans Day
The Commemoration on March 29th features a wreath laying at the scale Vietnam Wall located on our Corridor of Valor and Sacrifice. Email NIFeducation@nationalinfantryfoundation.org for more information.
Memorial Day Tribute and Paver Dedication
The museum is open regular operating hours (9-5) on Memorial Day. The ceremony honors the holiday and serves to dedicate the newly installed pavers on Heritage Walk. For more information on purchasing pavers click here.
Freedomfest
Thousands flock to the museum each year for our Independance Day community celebration. The biggest 4th of July Party in the Chattahoochee Valley has bounce houses, free movies, food court, military vehicles to explore and plenty of family friendly activites.
1775 Society’s Gala and Auction
Each August, the 1775 Society hosts a distinguished black-tie event. This signature fundraiser features a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and dancing, with a unique theme each year that guests eagerly anticipate. The event plays a crucial role in supporting the museum’s mission to honor the legacy of the United States Army Infantry. Find out more about the event and how to join the 1775 Society here.
Global War on Terrorism Memorial Rededication
Held on the first Saturday after Labor Day, the annual ceremony honors the new names that have been added in the past year to the Global War on Terrorism Memorial and the over 7,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines we have lost since 9/11. The Rededication Ceremony is open to the community with additional special events throughout the weekend for Gold Star Families. For more information email rgoodman@nationalinfantryfoundation.org
Veterans Day Commemoration and Paver Dedication
The museum is open regular operating hours on this holiday. The ceremony opens with the ringing of a hand bell eleven times in the tradition from World War I. In addition to the Veterans Day tribute, the newly installed pavers on Heritage Walk are dedicated. Pavers can be purchased anytime. Click here for more.
