Join us for a special Memorial Day Ceremony at the National Infantry Museum on Monday, May 25 at 11:00 AM in Cavezza Hall. This meaningful indoor ceremony will honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation through remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
The ceremony will feature a keynote address from COL (R) Rob Choppa, along with a community gathering dedicated to preserving the legacy of America’s fallen heroes.
Memorial Tribute Paver Dedication
As part of this year’s Memorial Day observance, the National Infantry Museum will also host a special Memorial Tribute Paver Dedication Ceremony honoring newly installed pavers purchased within the past six months.
These engraved tribute pavers serve as lasting reminders of the courage, sacrifice, and service of loved ones remembered by family and friends. Guests are invited to attend this moving dedication as we recognize the stories and legacies etched into the Memorial Walk of Honor.

Never Home: Remembering the Military Heroes Who Never Returned by Richard Sherman
Monday, May 25th
Price: $30.00
The former head of the American Battle Monuments Commission—which manages our overseas military cemeteries and memorials—Major General (ret.) Bill Matz said of the book:
“When I read ‘Never Home,’ I thought I was once again walking among the gravesites of our fallen soldiers. The author so deftly brings to life the soldiers’ interred and on the Walls of Our Missing in our overseas American cemeteries with his beautiful sacred images—visual reminders of the cost of freedom! This is not just a read. Thoroughly and intimately researched, photographed and written, ‘Never Home’ is a solemn reminder of the service and sacrifice of US Armed Forces and should grace every American household!”
Why Memorial Day Matters
Memorial Day is often associated with the start of summer, but its true meaning runs much deeper. Unlike Veterans Day, which honors all who have served, Memorial Day is dedicated specifically to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States. It is a day to remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and reflect on the cost of freedom. At the National Infantry Museum, we are committed to preserving and sharing these stories so future generations never forget.
