A Heritage Walk Paver Dedication Ceremony will be held on Memorial Day on May 27 at 10am at the National Infantry Museum. Commemorative granite pavers purchased since the Veterans Day Dedication will be dedicated during this ceremony.

Activities scheduled for that day include:

9 a.m. – 1pm – Kids 5-11 years old will enjoy hands-on fun, guided tours, fun facts and refreshments during the NIM Kids Memorial Day Mini-Camp at the National Infantry Museum. $10 per camper. Call the Education Department at 706-685-5814 or register online.

10 a.m. – Paver Dedication Ceremony in Cavezza Hall for commemorative pavers installed since Veterans Day. Guest speaker: COL Anthony Judge, 199th Infantry Brigade Commander. The deadline for purchasing pavers for this ceremony is April 15.

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – World War II Company Street open for self-guided tours.

12:30p.m. –  Local Boy/Girl Scouts will conduct an official flag retirement ceremony at the fire pit behind the museum.

The museum will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 27, but will be muted until the conclusion of the Dedication Ceremony. There is no admission fee, however a $5 per person donation is requested. The Fife and Drum restaurant will be open for lunch. Giant Screen Theater documentaries will be shown throughout the afternoon beginning at 12pm at regular ticket prices.
