PBS Documentary Producer Headlines Vietnam Symposium at the National Infantry Museum
The public is invited to a day-long symposium at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center exploring still-debated issues surrounding the Vietnam War. Vietnam: Lessons and Legacies will be held Saturday, January 27, from 9am to 4pm at the museum. Lynn Novick, co-director with Ken Burns on the PBS documentary The Vietnam War, will headline a panel of distinguished veterans, scholars and experts, listed below. Topics for discussion include Lessons: Learned, Ignored, Forgotten and Not Learned at All; Media Might: Then and Now; and From Conscription to All-Volunteer and Back Again?
The event, sponsored by Westway Development Group, is free and includes lunch and a light closing reception with cash bar.
