The annual Global War on Terrorism Memorial Rededication occurs the first weekend after Labor Day at the National Infantry Museum and is designed to honor our fallen service members from the Global War on Terrorism and educate the community of the ongoing impact from this conflict.
The Saturday morning dedication ceremony is always open to the community, and we encourage everyone to attend to show support and reverence for the sacrifices made by over 7,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines.
Show Our Gold Star Families how Grateful We Are
Our nation still has service members deployed across the globe in defense of freedom, and it is increasingly important to educate our community and the next generation on the legacy left by those willing to serve.
This ceremony is an opportunity for our community to show our Gold Star families how grateful we are as a nation for their sacrifices in this 24-year conflict. By sharing the names of their loved one, the Heroes etched on our memorial granite panels are never forgotten.
Gold Star/Surviving Family Member Private Evening
A private dinner is hosted by the National Infantry Museum Foundation and is entirely free for our Gold Star and Surviving Family members on the Friday night prior to the rededication ceremony. Additionally, community partners graciously donate their time and services to enhancing the weekend for our honored families through a variety of community building opportunities.
If you would like more information on how to support the weekend events for our honored families please contact our Development Department. If you are a Gold Star or Surviving Family Member and would like more information on this weekend, please contact us using the link below.
