NIM Nominated AGAIN in Readers’ Choice Awards!

Feb 14, 2022

Readers of USA Today are getting real familiar with the National Infantry Museum. The museum has again been nominated as one of America’s best museums!

Travel experts chose their 20 favorite museums in various categories, and now it’s up to readers to select the best of the best. In 2022, the NIM is again nominated as Best Free Museum (which we won in both 2016, 2020 and 2021) and Best History Museum (in which we finished first place in 2021).

From now through Monday, March 14, people can vote for their favorites! People can vote every single day of the contest! Winners will be announced Friday, March 25 at 12:00pm EDT.

While no prizes are awarded, National Infantry Museum Foundation President BG (Ret) Pete Jones says the bragging rights are even more important, helping the NIM gain much-deserved national attention. “With so many amazing museums around the country, we should be especially proud of being singled out year after year. Clearly, the National Infantry Museum belongs on the national map.”

Since opening in 2009, the museum, often called “the Smithsonian of the Army,” has won a prestigious global award from the Themed Entertainment Industry, been included in a CNN Travel article about the 12 best military museums in the world and is consistently ranked as one of the state’s top attractions on TripAdvisor.

To help the National Infantry Museum gain greater national exposure, please cast daily votes in USA Today’s 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards.
