Every winter, the Events Department puts on a beautiful show that allows brides in the area to see the museum all dolled up firsthand! Each room is decorated in a different theme to show that you can turn this magnificent museum into a wedding wonderland.

One of my favorite spaces from this year’s celebration was Heritage Hall. It accommodates 130 people, which is perfect for an intimate wedding that many brides desire. This room was transformed into an exotic Copacabana theme, filled with bright colored décor and beautiful florals donated by The Fresh Market. Old cigar boxes were used to create centerpieces that gave it that true Copacabana feel.

The Grand Hall was displayed as an upscale wedding reception with a mixture of gold and silver metallic decor. Beautiful gold linens and chivari chairs, with silver chargers and napkins displayed as bows to tie it all together. Breathtaking centerpieces were created by Designs by Mayumi.

The Continental Room serves as an additional space for intimate receptions. From a wall of windows looking out to the gorgeous landscape to its charming wood details, guests are always impressed with this room option. B. Anderson florists and J ’Lou’s Wedding design captured this reception area perfectly. They were right on track with this year’s hottest colors, rustic x-back chairs, and stunning floral centerpieces.
