NIM Kids Summer Camp – An Adventure Through Time

NIM Kids Summer Camp is a day camp filled with great activities for ages 6-14, designed to promote teamwork and teach the Army values. There are six week-long sessions over this summer.

 
Pricing:
All 2022 NIM Kids Summer Camp sessions are $200 per session. Early-bird registration and military discounts are available for $175 per session. Early-bird registration ends on May 2, 2022.  A limited number of scholarships are available. 2022 Camp Sessions:
Objective : The Last 100 Yards (ages 9-13)
June 6-10, 2022 (8:15am – 4:30pm)

Step back in time to experience U.S. military history like never before. Follow the battles from the Revolutionary War to current day engagements as displayed through our feature exhibit, The Last 100 Yards. This camp includes three half-days at Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center, focusing on the importance of water usage and conservation. Campers will walk in the footsteps of Soldiers, participating in reenactment scenarios and engaging with Veterans about their experiences in the military.

Leadership II (ages 11-14)
June 13-17, 2022 (8:15am – 4:30pm)

The Army Values instill eight distinct qualities in a Soldier. Campers will leave with a greater understanding of how each is instrumental to being a great leader. Hand-on exercises will challenge campers to work as a team and make hard decisions. Strategies and principals from key military leaders will be dissected and taught how to be applied to solve daily obstacles. Local Veterans will discuss the meaning of ethics and honor. This program also includes a campout at our primitive campsite. An off-site service project may be conducted during camp.

Boots on the Ground A (ages 6-8)
June 20-24, 2022 (8:15am – 4:30pm)

Our youngest campers will have the opportunity to explore US military history from the Revolutionary War to WWI. This camp will introduce campers to the basics of what being a soldier is all about, while learning about what they would have experienced on a day to day basis. They will spend their afternoons at Oxbow Meadows learning about marine critters, reptiles and amphibians.

Leadership I (ages 9-11)
June 27 – July 1, 2022 (8:15am – 4:30pm)

Almost every Soldier will pass through Fort Benning for training during their military career. Dive deeper into the leadership of major conflicts in U.S. military history. Learn about the advanced tactics that help Soldiers today stay safer and faster on the modern battlefield, campers see first-hand what it takes to secure our freedoms. A Mock Vietnam reconnaissance mission will establish the importance of teamwork, leadership, and communication between campers.

Boots on the Ground B (ages 6-8)
July 11-15, 2022 (8:15am – 4:30pm)

Our youngest campers will have the opportunity to explore US military history from the Revolutionary War to WWI. This camp will introduce campers to the basics of what being a soldier is all about, while learning about what they would have experienced on a day to day basis.
