Established in 1941, Fort Benning’s Officer Candidate School is responsible for the training of commissioned officers in the U.S. Army, transforming qualified soldiers into leaders.
After you’ve completed your tour of the downstairs galleries, head upstairs to the mezzanine level. The Officer Candidate School (OCS) Hall of Honor recognizes the 3,000+ OCS Hall of Fame inductees who have led distinguished careers, both in the military and civilian world, following their graduation from the federal OCS program. Officer Candidate School graduates who have received the Medal of Honor or attained general officer rank must be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame; induction is not automatic. Other nominees are selected based on distinguished service in their civilian and military careers.
Located in the OCS Hall of Honor, a computerized kiosk provides visitors with photos and biographies of OCS Hall of Fame inductees, searchable by name or induction year.
The OCS Hall of Honor stands directly across from the Ranger Hall of Honor.
